During "study information day", our guest from New York was able to gain a first-hand impression of the work done at HSE and meet future teacher training students.

HSE was delighted to welcome back our long-standing collaborator, Vice Provost for Academic Planning and Global Affairs Dr Portia Williams from Teachers College, Columbia University (New York), to Heidelberg last week. 

Highlights of her visit included an exchange with Prof. Dr. Silke Hertel, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Teaching at Heidelberg University, as well as Dr Alexander Au, Director of the International Relations Office. Dr Williams further visited the Heidelberg University of Education. The exchange was generously supported by the Expanding Internationality Fund of Heidelberg University.

Dr Williams' short visit was both inspiring and productive: Together, we outlined new avenues for collaboration that build on our many years of partnership and our recently renewed Memorandum of Understanding. 

We look forward to taking the next steps in our transatlantic work on Enhancing Future Literacies in Teacher Education!
